    The Twelfth Winter Symposium on Chemometrics took place at the recreation center Volzhskie Dali in suburbs of Saratov, Russia. About 50 scientists contributed to the scientific part of the symposium with 5 lectures, 29 oral and 18 poster presentations. Pre-conference activities included the traditional weekend school on Chemometrics for Russian speaking scientists and students, which took place in Saratov State University.

    As usual, selected presentations and their authors have been awarded with valuable prizes. The first prize for the best poster presentation took Pavel Pidenko (Russia). He was awarded with free participation in International School of Chemometrics ISC-2020. The second (Skvortsov Alexej) and third (Ashina Julia) prizes have been awarded with books and useful IT-equipment.

    The prize for best presentation given by a young chemometrician was given to Victor Hugo Ferreira (Brazil). He received a voucher for free participating in CAC 2020 from the CAC organising committee.

    Eleventh Winter Symposium on Chemometrics (WSC-11) is over. It attracted about 60 participants.

    The first prize for the best poster presentation took Ivan Krylov (Russia). He was awarded with free participation in Copenhagen School of Chemometrics CSC-2018. The second prize, R. Brereton's book Chemometrics: Data Driven Extraction for Science, was given to Anita Rácz (Hungary). The third place took Paolo Oliveri (Italy). His award is the book Chemometrics in Excel by Alexey Pomerantsev.

    Prize to the best young chemometrician that is a voucher for free participating in CAC 2018 was given to David Bajusz (Hungary). Sergey Kucheryavskiy was awarded the RCS Gold Medal "For outstanding contribution to the development of chemometrics in Russia".

    Professor Dmitry Kirsanov from Saint Petersburg University was elected as a new chair. The new secretary will be announced latter.

    Special issue of Journal of Chemometrics is now available. The issue contains the selected papers presented at the Tenth Winter Symposium on Chemometris (WSC-10) in Samara, Russia, February 2016. Oxana Rodionova was a Guest Editor for the issue.

    Eleventh Winter Symposium on Chemometrics (WSC-11) will be held February 26—March 2, 2018 near St. Petersburg , in the resort center Aurora-club.

    Tenth Winter Symposium on Chemometrics (WSC-10) that took place in in Samara, in the resort center "Polytechnic", attracted more than 70 participants.

    Best poster presentation awards were given to Maxim Khannanov (EnSpectr) for the 1st place, Alexey Skvortsov (SPb PU) for the 2nd place as well as Valeria Belikova (Samara STU) Maria Khaydukova (SPb SU) and Yulia Monakhova (Saratov SU) for the 3rd place. All winners got various licenses for the TPT-cloud platform.

    Special prize titled "professor's choice", presented by Dr. Kucheryavskiy, was given to Vladislav Galyanin (Samara SU) and Natalya Nechaeva (Moscow SU) Another special prize, a voucher for free participation in Copenhagen School on Chemometrics (CSC-2016) was given to Natalya Nechaeva (Moscow SU)

    Prize to the best young chemometrician that is a voucher for free participating in
    CAC-2016, was given to Anastasiia Melenteva (Samara SU).

    The winners in fencing competition were Maria Khaydukova (SPb SU — 1st place, Dmitry Kirsanov (SPb PU) — 2nd place, Valeria Belikova (Samara STU) & Bruno Debus (SPb SU) — 3rd place.
